Loosely based on the tenets of The Responsive Classroom, Tools In The Shed Tutoring follows the key principles and beliefs: engaging academics, positive community, effective management, and developmental awareness. The Responsive Classroom is an evidence-based approach to teaching that focuses on the strong link between academic success and social-emotional learning. The belief that it isn't so important WHAT is learned, but rather HOW it is being learned is carried through every lesson. Every session with Tools In The Shed Tutoring is custom-tailored to the academic and emotional development of the child; no two students are seen as being in the same place at the same time.
